Hero of Tirad Pass November 14, 1875 - December 2, 1899 Gregorio H. Del Pilar was born in San Jose, Bulacan on November 14, 1875 to Fernando H. Del Pilar and Felipa Sempio. He died at Ateneo Municipal de Manila and finished Bachelor of Arts in 1896. He joined the Katipunan at the age of 17. He fought against the Spaniards in the Battle of Kakarong de Sili on January 1, 1897. Del Pilar led the Filipinos' vectory against the Spaniards in Paombong, Bulacan on September 3, 1897. He accompanied Emilio Aguinaldo to Hong Kong after signing in the Pact of Biak-na-Bato in December of 1897. When Aguinaldo returned to the Philippines and the revolution re-started, Del Pilar became a General, assigned to Bulacan.
