The Conquest of Jericho (Jos. 6)

The first city accross the Jordan was Jericho. It has been preparing for the battle with Israelites. So when the Israelites crossed the Jordan, Jericho shut all its door against Israel.

The Lord said to Joshua, "Go around the city once each day for six days. Seven priests shall bear before the Ark seven trumpets. On the seventh day the priests shall blow their trumpets. When they hear the trumpets the people, all of them, shall shout aloud; and the city shall fall."

Joshua did as he was told. And the city was destroyed. Only Rahab and all that were with her lived because she hid the messengers that were sent by Joshua.
