How to Show Hidden Files and Folders

Sometimes when your computer has been attacked by viruses the tendency of the infected files/ folders will be hidden; this is the number one task of a virus - they hide it from the user making it inaccessible and hard to find.

There is still a way to look for your lost files, you can view them by following these simple steps:

My Computer
► Tools
► Folder Options
►► Show Hidden Files and Folders

then uncheck
◘ Hide extensions for know types
◘ Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
