Eclipse

An eclipse is the obscuration of a celestial body caused by its passage Hi rough the shadow cast by another body. An eclipse is said to be solar when the I arth passes through the shadow cast by the Moon. A lunar eclipse is an eclipse m which the Moon passes through the shadow cast by the Earth. The eclipse may be total (the Moon passing complete­ly through the Earth's umbra), partial (the Moon passing partially through the Earth's umbra at maximum eclipse), or penum-bral (the Moon passing only through the Earth's penumbra). The magnitude of a lunar eclipse is the fraction of the lunar diameter obscured by the shadow of the earth at the greatest phase, measured along the common diameter. Any parti­cular phase of a lunar eclipse is visible from the hemisphere over which the Moon is then above the horizon.

Paano nangyayari ang SOLAR at LUNAR EKLIPSE?
