The Houses of the Astrochart (or Horoscope)

The twelve houses or divisions signify the following:
The First House - the most important of the twelve - represents the people; the general condition of the country, and the public health.

The Second House shows the financial condition of the nation, its revenues, the stock exchange, banks, and commerce and trade.

The Third House rules over all modes of communication and travel, and all matters connected with them, such as travel taxes, stocks and shares, etc. It also concerns books, newspapers and literary undertakings.

The Fourth House - another impor­tant division of the horoscope — rules over agriculture, crops, mineral resources, land. It also represents the Opposition Party. In making predictions governing earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc., the starting point or cusp of this House is taken into account.

The Fifth House concerns the youth, their education, and all forms of amuse­ment and recreation.

The Sixth House represents public health and well being, labor, and the military services.

The Seventh House shows the state of international affairs, foreign countries, marriages and divorces, and also war.

The Eighth House concerns mortality rates, and also the Cabinet. It also has significance over foreign debts.

     The Ninth House is about religion and the clergy, about'the law courts, legal matters, shipping and air travel, trade, science and inventions.

The Tenth House — another important division of the horoscope — concerns the ruler of the state, the Government, national honor and reputation.

The Eleventh House is about parlia­ment and legislation.
     
     The Twelfth House concerns prisons, hospitals or other institutions that tend to bind, and also crime, spies or hidden enemies
