Lieutenant General Mariano Trias - first Governor of Cavite

(October 12, 1868 - January 22, 1914)

One of the founders of  Magdiwang Council, Philippines

Mariano Trias led several attacks in Cavite and Laguna in Spanish and American forces. Trias is considered to be the first facto Philippine Vice President ; he was elected to the revolutionary government established at the Tejeros Convention . Under the Aguinaldo administration , Trias served as Minister of War and Finance . With the establishment of the civil government by the Americans , Civil Governor William Howard Taft appointed Trias to be the first Governor  of Cavite on June 11, 1901.
